Newsroom
General news for the room: the running wire, plus every announcement the shop has published.
- 2pages in this section
The Newsroom is the part of the paper that moves. General news for the room is published here as it comes in, and the two standing pieces below explain the structures that the news keeps referring to: who governs cue sports, and how a tournament is actually run once the brackets are drawn.
The running wire of the paper: general news for the room, published as it comes in. Everything the shop itself announced is kept, word for word, on its own page.
What is in this section
Those two are here rather than in Cue Sports on purpose. Governance and tournament format are not playing questions — they are the context that makes a result readable. A title match under one body is not the same object as a title match under another, and a race to seven frames in a group stage is not the same as a race to seven in a knockout. Read them once and the wire above stops needing footnotes.
Everything the shop itself announced — specials, arrivals, events and the notes it posted for its own customers — is kept word for word on its own page, at the address it always had. It is not mixed into the wire here: the announcements are a closed archive with a date on them, and the wire is current. Both are linked from each other so that neither reads out of context.
