Section of the shop catalogue·Catalogue archived

Lighting over a table is a playing condition, not decoration. The fixture decides where the shadows of the cue and of the player fall, and a light hung for the look of the room will put one of them across the object ball. The shop stocked the standard shapes for a nine-foot bed, and the pages below record what they were.

Also listed in this section

The shop’s index carried these lines too, but their own pages did not survive in the archive. What the shop wrote about each one is kept here in full, with its prices exactly as the index stated them — the club price and the price without membership, where both were given.
